Meanwhile, Microsoft claims its latest GPT-4 model exhibits "sparks" of artificial general intelligence (AGI), the theoretical ability for AI to learn and understand any intellectual task a human can. Unlike specialized AI designed for defined tasks, AGI would adapt to new scenarios and apply knowledge across various domains.

The pressing concern is that these advanced models are being widely deployed, from Bing searches to office applications.
