This marks a shift in Microsoft's approach; from now on, while major updates will still occur each autumn, features will be released continuously throughout the year.

This strategy has its advantages and disadvantages. On one hand, frequent feature updates generate positive press and create a sense of progress surrounding Windows 11. On the flip side, the autumn updates may become less exciting since many noteworthy features will have already been delivered to users.
