Forza Horizon 5 Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Major Update

The inaugural Forza Horizon title debuted in October 2012, marking this month as the series' 10th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Microsoft is introducing a special anniversary update for Forza Horizon 5, packed with fresh content and the new “Horizon Origins Story.” This complimentary update is scheduled for release on October 11, kicking off a month-long celebration.
The Horizon Origins story comprises five chapters that enable players to revisit “iconic gameplay moments” from earlier installments in the series.
Upon completion of the Horizon Origins story, players will be rewarded with the 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS Anniversary Edition, which graced the cover of the first game.
Additionally, a new game mode named Midnight Battle will challenge players to compete in various street races scattered across the map. Victorious players will earn the following vehicles:
- 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1
- 1984 Honda Civic CRX Mugen
- 2003 Toyota Celica SS-I
- 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670–4 SV
The update will also introduce a permanent radio station featuring tracks from previous Horizon titles. Players can unlock these new songs by completing accolades tied to the Horizon Origins story.
Moreover, players will have the opportunity to unlock a variety of items inspired by earlier Horizon locations, such as Australia. These items may include:
- Clothing
- Outfits
- Emotes
- Car Horns
To top it all off, new festival sites will emerge throughout the Forza Horizon 5 map, themed around past Horizon locations.
Until now, I had started to lose interest in Forza Horizon 5, but this upcoming update has reignited my enthusiasm for the game. I’m looking forward to investing more hours into it, especially to unlock all those new vehicles.
