Explore Five Engaging Vue Games with Source Codes

Introduction to Vue Games
It's fascinating to see the variety of captivating browser games built using web frameworks like Svelte and Angular. As discussed in my earlier pieces, today, I will introduce you to five open-source games created with the Vue framework. As you might recall from my previous article, Vue has emerged as the third most sought-after web framework in job listings! This esteemed position illustrates the growing demand for developers eager to explore a framework that beautifully blends aspects of both Angular and React.
Vue Blackjack
Kevin Lee Drum has developed a Vue version of the classic card game where players can challenge the computer for virtual coins. This project serves as an excellent example of implementing Vuex while providing an enjoyable gaming experience. Plus, it performs exceptionally well on smartphones, although I cannot confirm its compatibility with iPhones, which often face challenges with such applications.
The first video, "Build a Rock, Paper, Scissors Game in Vue JS | Vue 3 Composition Project Tutorial," offers a comprehensive guide on creating a Rock, Paper, Scissors game using Vue 3.
Vue MineSweeper
Developed by Ahmed Ashraf two years ago, this delightful game utilizes Vue, Vuex, and Vuetify. While it employs the Options API rather than the newer Component API, it's still a valuable resource for learning how to leverage Vuetify components to accelerate frontend development.
Vue Rock, Paper, Scissors
Ahmed Ashraf has also created a classic Rock, Paper, Scissors game using Vue. This responsive and enjoyable game offers a straightforward introduction to the framework, making its source code particularly appealing.
Vue Breakout
Breakout holds a special place in my heart as one of the first web games I developed. Mustafa Dalga has reimagined this classic with Vue and the Canva API, providing an intriguing perspective on creating visually engaging games.
Vue Simon Game
This game is designed to enhance memory through color recognition. It is responsive and serves as a beginner-friendly implementation worth exploring.
Conclusion
Do you know of any other entertaining games built with the Vue framework? Perhaps you have come across newer or more complex creations, or you might be the developer of such a game? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
Additionally, I've just launched a preorder for "Summon The JSON Vue Flashcards" at a special discount. Check them out!
